IGSMA Contest on Saturday, March 10th at GWMS!
For the 1st time, District 44 is hosting the Illinois Grade School Music Association's Band and Orchestra Contest for District 7 on Saturday, March 10. There will be over 20 ensembles from around the Chicagoland area coming to Lombard to participate in this contest. The contest will begin at 8:00 AM and end around 4:30 PM. All groups will perform for an audience and panel of 3 adjudicators. At the conclusion of each schools performance, the adjudicators provide written and verbal feedback on strengths of the ensemble as well as areas to improve.
In addition to hosting, the Wildcat Concert Band and Concert Orchestra will also be performing at the IGSMA Contest on March 10. Both ensembles look forward to giving an excellent performance first thing in the morning! The Concert Orchestra will perform at 8:00 am in the small gym, and the Wildcat Band will perform at 8:35 am in the large gym.
